It has been about 20 years since I did any real racing, but that may change soon. Well, actually, what I’m going to do is not real racing, it is just for fun. The cool think about pocketbike racing is that you can set up a track in just about any parking lot that will let you and have a blast with some friends. So, we are putting this whole thing together with a few guys and our first track will be in a church parking lot.

Since there are all different sizes of “pocketbikes” we are limiting them to the 50cc 40-50 lb bikes that are really tiny. Supposed top speed is about 50mph and there will be a “no mods” rule for the engines in our little series. Suspension mods will be allowed since these bikes really need front suspension. As for me personally, I’m going to get one of the 50cc mini dirt bikes and motard it with some street tires since I’m old and need something that has a little more leg room. Should be fun. It’s always fun until someone gets hurt… or so the saying goes.
